One of my New Year resolutions is to practice backgrounds, but I had to draw this without a ruler (in order to sketch sneakily in class heheh...//shotdead)
I apologize for the wonky perspective...my first time at attempting a background and it ended up like this-- :iconhecryplz:

Anyways, first late upload of the year! Thank you all for such a wonderful 2012!!
I will do my best to improve my skill in these upcoming months, and I look forward to having a great second year with everybody! :iconmuahplz:

anyway this is a good try at a bg for someone who's not used to doing it! i like how all the buildings have different shapes and details!!

Such wonderful pencil art ! Congrats on making good on your resolution to draw backgrounds! (I have the same one, but no courage yet) I love the soft shading, and the characters expressions are so very cute ! Great work :)
